(It used to be published in Serbian in printed form from 1957 to 2002 as Jugoslovenski pregled and from 2003 until June 2006 as Pregled – SCG and in English since 1960 as the Yugoslav Survey and from 2002 until June 2006 as Survey - SM).

The analyses and reviews are based on official statistics and other reliable sources. Because of the widest possible variety of topics, factographic and documentary character of texts and standards up to which they are prepared and presented, this journal is also regarded as the country’s current encyclopaedia and a reliable and often quoted source of data on the country.
